Noce Fresca Residency

Sardinia, Italy

Month-long residency for international and multi-disciplinary artists to explore a self-directed project. During the program, I studied traditional, handwoven textiles, which I then incorporated into large-scale tapestries and displayed at a culminating open studio event.

I also experimented with botanical dye using locally forged natural materials, such as figs, olives, walnut, myrtle and more.

Check out the video to learn more about my experience.

Couleur Garance

Lauris, France

One-week workshop at the renowned Couleur Garance studio where we learned the fundamentals and techniques of how to forge natural materials, prep textiles and create dye baths.

Why natural dye?

Because it’s fun, it’s better for the environment and our bodies, and it brings us closer to nature.

Waverly Linens offers natural dye options made from local plants, native flowers, and kitchen scraps. We are constantly experimenting and building our library of seasonal colors.
